Travel Inspiration: Hot Air Ballooning in Cappadocia, Turkey

Posted by Adam Warner

Our latest travel inspiration comes from the picturesque region of Cappadocia, Turkey. The area's stunning lunar-like landscape is composed of volcanic rock spires and high plateaus, many of which have been converted into cave dwellings. It's something you have to see to believe.

A hot air balloon ride is easily one of the best ways to experience this surreal terrain. You'll climb over 1,000 feet in the air to enjoy breathtaking vistas and come close with vineyards, orchards, cave churches, and other impressive rock formations. Many tour operators even offer a breakfast buffet and champagne toast as part of the package, which really adds to the overall experience.

If you're considering Turkey for your honeymoon or anniversary trip, be sure to add this one-of-a-kind honeymoon excursion to the list.
