It was with mixed feelings that Bob & Joy Yake closed JoyBell Christian Schoolhouse this past summer. After 39 years of having the privilege of impacting families and staff, the Washington DOT bought their building to make way for the north/south freeway.

They've always known that their school was God-breathed and unique.They are not tired of teaching or working, but they do believe that God’s timing is right. They have loved spending a lifetime implementing the goal of helping kids love and obey God, love school, and motivating and exciting them about learning itself.

And now, we'd like to do something for them. In 39 years, they have not had the opportunity to vacation together. They've never been to Disneyland, Hawaii, Mexico, on a Cruise, or any other fun adventure. In fact, they were rarely even able to leave JoyBell for the entire week.

It was with this in mind, that the reunion committee came up with the idea of surprising them with a vacation to Maui. We appreciate your generous spirits in helping us fulfill our dream of sending them on their 2nd honeymoon!

PS: As you can see, the lodging have been generously donated. It would be wonderful if their airfare (let us know if you have air miles you'd be willing to donate) and car rental were taken care of too. But knowing the options in Maui are extensive, we wanted you to have as many choices as possible!
