Hi everyone!
First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is priceless and being surrounded by our friends and family will make our day perfect. We are truly blessed to have amazing families and friends.
As we both are still in college and will be for a few more years we won't be needing any sort of housewares for a while. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! We are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime experience and memories, we will get from this trip, that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate your love and support. Although greatly appreciated, a donation is not required. Your presence is a present after all!
We intend to document our trip thoroughly and will include these memories you helped us make in our thank you letters."
Thank you for supporting us and can't wait to see everyone on our big day!
We're going to Dublin Ireland, Cochem Germany!
This is our itinerary for our honeymoon! We plan on going on many adventures and making the most of our first adventure together as Husband and Wife!
We start with Ireland! We will fly into Dublin and make our home base there. From there we will be able to visit a ton of attractions with the Dublin city pass. These include:
The Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Jameson Distillery Bow St. Tour, Dublinia (an immersive Medieval and Viking historical experience), Dublin Zoo, National Botanic Gardens, The Little Museum of Dublin, National Museum of Ireland Decorative Arts & History, Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre, Malahide Castle & Gardens, and the list of historical sites in Dublin goes on and on all included in the City Dublin Pass!
Then after seeing all the sites of Dublin we are taking a guided tour to the Irish country side to see the Cliffs of Moher. The most iconic and beautiful scenery in Ireland! On the trip we get to see Galway then stop at the Burren Smoke house, a family owned restaurant, and see what they do. Then enjoy the Atlantic Way scenery back to Dublin!
Another tour we plan on going on is to the Giant's Causeway. This is another gorgeous site on Ireland that is famous for it's strange hexagonal rocks! Also on the tour we get to cross a rope bridge over a chasm to Carrick a Rede Island. We then get to see Dark Hedges which is a beautiful home and garden that shaped the Hedges to impress, and had been featured in Game of Thrones as the Kings Road. Then we stop in Ballintoy, a small picturesque village, sharing more beautiful sites and scenery featured in films. Then on our way to the "most romantic castle in Ireland" we get to see amazing coastal views of the high cliffs and seas. We end the trip in Northern Ireland's capitol Belfast, taking in the city, before we drive home after a day filled with sites and adventure!
After an adventure packed week in Dublin we are heading to Germany! The Mossel and Rhine River region in Germany has gorgeous castle views quaint, German villages and the best wine in Germany! We plan on doing a lot of hiking and exploring to castles and seeing these beautiful villages. We are staying in Cochem Germany on the Mossel river that will allow us to see some amazing features!
Burg Eltz is one of the few preserved castles in the Mossel and Rhine that survived due to clever diplomacy with new German Monarchy and marriages with surrounding castles and families. It is still in the families possession and they have preserved it, outfitting it to be just as walking into a castle centuries ago!
Another Castle we will tour is in our home base Cochem. The Reichsburg Castle sits atop a hill looking over the city. We will learn more of the history of Cochem, while being able to explore castle walls and gardens, taking in a the rich German history!
On our day to day we will get to know Cochem more intimate by exploring the market squares, trying local wineries, and hiking to surrounding villages and up the mountain over looking this beautiful town. We also plan on going to a famous mustard mill in Cochem to learn the history of their craft.
Koblenz Germany is where the two great rivers the Mossel and the Rhine meet at a point called Deutches Echs. We will be able to take a boat tour up river to Koblenz being able to see more scattered castle ruins and learn more about the area. At Koblenz we will be able to take a few hours to cross the river using the river cable cars and going to a museum center and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, one of the largest in Europe!
After all these wonderful adventures we will have to bid Germany Auf Wiedersehn.
