Tristan & Sarah

November 12, 2023

Hi everyone!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as a married couple. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at our breakage rate!).

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding - or earlier!

We're going to Vietnam!!

We never envisioned our dream honeymoon would be to Vietnam. But Tristan wanted Asia, Sarah wanted beach, and voila - Vietnam! And to do a trip like this justice, we quickly realized a one-week adventure would not be sufficient. So after mapping out all our dream excursions, we have a pretty solid itinerary.

We'll first be flying into Hanoi - which has more places to visit than we possibly have time for. Some highlights include Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, Temple of Literature and HMC Mausoleum. We'll spend the first two days just trying to soak it all in.

From Hanoi, we'll trek over to Halong Bay for a junk boat cruise, which should mean the next couple of days include sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, and just overall relaxing.

Following this excursion we'll work our way through Ninh Binh down to Tam Coc , who offers boat rides through the rice fields. Should be such a neat and unique experience!

Headed down to Hue, there are more pagodas, museums, and markets than we could all see - but we'll certainly try! And just a couple hours from Hue, you can reach Danang, an incredible beach destination, but also oddly some jungle adventures as well. Think beaches, hikes, waterfalls, bridges and more.

Only an hour from Danang is Marble Mountain, known for their caves and grottos. The pictures alone are incredible, it will be amazing to see it all in person.

With the trip coming to a close, we'll head to Hoi An, for a last couple days of beach (Sarah's one honeymoon request!). Then back to Danang and onto Spokane.

Help us experience the food and culture of Hanoi's Old Quarter! We will need money for street food, drinks, and tours of the ancient temples (dating back to 1070). Whatever you can contribute will be much appreciated.
Gift Fulfilled
Between all the adventuring in Hanoi, we found a great little hotel in the Old Quarter - central to the parks, museums, restaurants, and more! We plan to stay only for two nights then move on.
Gift Fulfilled
Help us dig into the great cultural and historic Hanoi with tours of Ho Chi Minh Tomb, Temple of Literature, and other museums. And a perfect end to the day will be atop the Observation Deck with drinks and dinner!
Gift Fulfilled
We hope to take an all inclusive 3 day tour of beautiful Ha Long Bay on a classic Vietnamese junk boat. Help us kick off the festivities!
Gift Fulfilled
After three relaxing days in a junk boat, we plan to trek a few hours away to Ninh Binh! Tam Coc is one of the main areas we hope to explore while here, surrounded by countryside, culture, and countless restaurants.
Gift Fulfilled
Tam Coc's rice fields are iconic, and the best way to see them is by enjoying a boat ride - especially by Mua Cave!
Gift Fulfilled
We will be catching a sleeper train to Hue from Ninh Binh! Surprisingly affordable for an 11.5 hour ride down south.
Gift Fulfilled
Of all the places recommended in Hue, this name keeps popping up! The Saigon Morin Hotel is in the heart of the city and overlooks the Perfume River.
Gift Fulfilled
Hue is known for the seven royal tombs! And to get the most of this experience, we would love a guide to walk up through and share the history!
Gift Fulfilled
We'll be catching a quick taxi to the Ba Na Hill Station - with iconic Golden Bridge (pictured here), beaches, waterfalls, and more! You can only visit the bridge by visiting Sun World, hence the fee. The ambiance and architecture are jaw-dropping.
Gift Fulfilled
A trip to Vietnam would not be complete without a visit to Marble Mountain! Located just outside of Danang, we'll check this place as a stop on our way down to Hoi An.
Gift Fulfilled
There is so much to do in the ancient town of Hoi An! We'll be sure to explore (especially at night when the lanterns are all lit!), peruse the shops, and visit the museums!
Gift Fulfilled
We all know how Sarah loves the beach, so we plan on doing a 2 night stay in a beachfront room at a luxury resort in Hoi An (plus a couple of fancy dinners and cocktails on the beach).
