Thanks to everyone for your well wishes on our marriage. While we certainly don't expect anything in terms of gifts, some of you have asked what we would like.

As we are traveling to and from Japan, we would rather not carry back bunches of things (that we really don't have room for in our Japanese-size apartment), so we've decided to create memories instead. We'll be having our second ceremony and reception back in Japan in the spring then hope to take some time to explore and enjoy our marriage together. This registry is a way to help us achieve that.

Combining Reiko's love of Portugal with our passion for finding fun in Asia, we thought <a href="http://www.frommers.com/destinations/macau/1491020001.html">Macau</a> would be a great place to start. So we've given you some different options. Check them out below.

Of course, if you'd like to donate to your favorite charity in our names, we are totally in favor of that too. Need some suggestions? Here are a couple we know to be great causes:
In honor of my mom, <a href="http://bcconnections.org">Breast Cancer Connections</a> does wonderful things for folks who need support while they fight for their health.
Also, following the Great Japan Earthquake and Tsunami that greatly affected Reiko's hometown of Kamaishi, we would also recommend donating to the <a href="http://kamaishi-support-project.com">Kamaishi Support Project</a>. There is still (and will be for a long while) a huge need to support recovery efforts.

We so appreciate those who can make it to our wedding and understand the hustle and bustle of the holidays for those who cannot. The greatest gift that you can give us is your love and support.
