July 13, 2012

Dear friends and family,

Our little wedding in Sanibel on July 13 was beautiful. Mike, Tracy, Sophia and Max picked a gorgeous spot on Bowman's Beach and walked out in our bare feet at 7:15pm in time for a perfect sunset. It had rained on and off all day so we were thrilled that the weather cleared in time for our ceremony. We said our vows with dolphins jumping in the surf behind us. Just as we were finishing, a beautiful rainbow appeared and we lingered taking pictures and marveling at the perfect backdrop to our event. As it turned out, we tarried a bit too long. When we began to walk back to the car, which was about a quarter mile away, the skies opened up and we all got completely drenched, bridal outfits, hairdos and all! There was nothing to be done so we just laughed. Everyone keeps telling us it is a good sign, so we are going with that! Thank you so much for all your congratulations and well wishes for our new life together.

As you know, we both really love to travel and we have been talking about going to Europe together since we met. What better place for a romantic honeymoon than the city of love - Paris! We plan to go this coming Spring and stay in an apartment (yet to be found..) for about a week. We may take some day trips or take the train down to the South for a day or two. We definitely plan to take in all the sites (Nikons at the ready), stroll hand-in-hand along the Seine, speak our bad high school French to everyone, and consume all the croissants, fromage and vin we can get our hands on. Vive la France!

Thank you for helping us make our dream trip come true.

Love,

Tracy and Mike
