Aloha! Thanks for visiting our honeymoon registry. If you know us well you already have a pretty good idea that we don't plan on just sitting around during our vacation. Over the last year Dave and I have been through many adventures. Five months after we met we were in the Florida Keys jet skiing and snorkeling. We couldn't resist stopping in the Everglades on the way home for an airboat tour and a chance to hold an alligator. Almost as soon as we got back we welcomed Duke into our happy family. He proceeded to eat us out of house and home...and I'm talking about furniture not food!! After eight months and a lot of hard work he seems to have stopped the chewing...most of the time. Then in October, we had our biggest adventure of all. We took that famous hike to the top of Sleeping Giant in the pouring rain. Dave proposed to me in the middle of the clouds right next to the carving in the rock that said "Tracy will you marry me"! We had a champagne toast and laughed all the way down the mountain. Ever since then the plans for our special day have been in the works. We are very excited about sharing our wedding day with all our friends and family, and what could be better than following it up with the honeymoon of our dreams? If the thought of buying us a set of sheets or a serving bowl doesn't appeal to you, or if you think that cash gift feels a little impersonal you've come to the right place. We have plenty of ideas right here in this registry and we promise to send you a postcard. See you at the wedding!
Love,
Tracy and Dave
We're going to Maui/Hawaii!
We will be spending our first two weeks as Mr and Mrs Kekacs in beautiful Hawaii. We start our trip on the island of Maui where we will be spending a week in a condo provided by The Crystal Room. This is when we plan on having all of our fun! Dave and I love to be outdoors, and we want to take advantage of the beauty of the island. We're talking hiking, snorkeling, horseback riding and surfing, followed by romantic dinners and dancing the night away. For our second week we will be moving on to The Big Island where we will stay in a private tiki hut at the relaxing Kona Village. This is where Dave and I will slow down and recover from all the excitement. Think hammocks, palm trees, big waves, and fruity drinks in a coconut shell. You get the idea. Us on the beach reading and relaxing and soaking up the sun, followed by great sunsets and maybe a luau or two.On our last day we will be going out with a bang. It's on to the volcano. We can't help but hope to see some real live lava, but at the very least we will spend the afternoon hiking around Kilauea at the volcano park. After a day of walking through the craters, lava tubes and rainforest we will spend our last evening in Hawaii at the Volcano Village Lodge. We plan to indulge in a relaxing massage and a champagne toast before returning to the hustle and bustle of home.
