Welcome friends and family!
First of all, your support, love, friendship and presence at our wedding are the best gifts we could ever ask for. We deeply appreciate the time, effort and expense you've put in to help us with the wedding and/or to travel to be with us on the most important day of our lives. Celebrating with you is what truly matters to us!
Josh and I are fortunate to have many of those "essential" items one needs to make a home. We've lived together for the better part of a decade and have accumulated many things over the years that new couples need when starting out. One of the things we love to do best is travel, and we've seen and done some wonderful things in our time together. From wine tasting in Napa and staying in a frozen ice hotel in Canada to a Caribbean cruise and getting into the "Parrot Head" lifestyle in Key West (where we got engaged), traveling to new places has long been important to us. It is because we value our travel memories so highly that we knew a honeymoon registry would be the perfect way for our loved ones to help us create the memories of a lifetime. We will cherish the memories and experiences from this trip even more knowing you all helped us make them a reality. We hope that you find this registry as a helpful way to make our dream honeymoon come true!
Of course, no one has everything! If you'd prefer a traditional registry, we're also registered at the following places: Bed, Bath & Beyond and Amazon. Thank you so much for helping us make our house even more of a home!
We're going to Tokoriki Island Resort and Likuliku Lagoon, Fiji!
Fiji, we've learned, is an archipelago of more than 332 islands, of which 110 are permanently inhabited and more than 500 islets in the South Pacific northeast of New Zealand. If you went in a straight line from New Hampshire to Fiji you'd cover just over 8,000 miles. The culture in Fiji is a mosaic of indigenous Fijian traditions, Chinese, Indian and European influences. We look forward to finding out more about this unique place!
After a very, very, long series of flights we land on the largest island, Viti Levu, where we will then take a boat from the city of Nadi to our first destination of the Mamanuca Islands. On our final island destination are just two resorts, one of which is the place we'll spend our first three nights in paradise, Tokoriki Island Resort. Most resorts in Fiji are small, intimate and seem tailor-made for honeymoons! Tokoriki has just 34 bures and villas and we're thrilled to be staying in an ocean front bure (basically a free-standing bungalow) with private deck and plunge pool.
The rest of our time will be spent in the almost too-picture-perfect-to-be-real Likuliku Lagoon Resort. This couples only resort is, like Tokoriki, small, intimate and made up of a number of private bures. This time we'll be staying in a beachfront bure that's just steps away from the water.
