Hi favorite people!
We are so excited to share our special day with you, to see all our loved ones and celebrate together in California. We realize what a miracle our love is - to have found it in Vegas and have it grow while being counties apart. We feel so fortunate to be surrounded and supported by such wonderful friends and family, as your prayers and influence helped shape the people we are now.
When we thought about where we wanted to register, we realized that we much more treasure memories and time together rather than traditional household items. Getting married later in life means you've already got your toaster, plates, and silverware. Also, shipping things to Mexico is incredibly expensive (so much so that Lisa is storing her things in Houston until we move back). Since we love taking pictures, experiencing new things, and seeing different cultures, Africa stood out as a trip of a lifetime. We cherish your participation in creating our perfect honeymoon, our first real adventure as husband and wife!

Kenya & Zanzibar Honeymoon Itinerary
Day 1
NAIROBI
We'll arrive at the Nairobi International Airport and will immediately start to explore the city! We'll check out the giraffe sanctuary, Nairobi National Park, and the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Ryan and I will dine at Carnivore Restaurant where all exotic meat is served roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge charcoal pit. Then we'll head to the Palacina Bed and Breakfast for a deep sleep after our incredibly long flight.
Day 2 - 7
MAASAI MARA
We will be transferred to Wilson Airport for a flight over the sprawling grasslands of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in the Great Rift Valley. The Maasai Mara is the most well-known reserve in Kenya, setting the scene for the Great Migration usually July– October. Over 1million wildebeest flood the reserve after traveling north from the Serengeti in Tanzania, along with large herds of other herbivores and some lions & hyenas. Ryan and I will enjoy Maasai village visits, picnics, spectacular bush breakfasts/dinners, as well as night game drives. One thing we are most looking forward to is taking a hot air balloon ride above the African plains. We'll stay 6 nights at Kichwa Tembo in a luxury safari tent.
Day 8 - 11
ZANZIBAR
We will take a flight to Wilson and then will be transferred to Nairobi Airport for a flight to Zanzibar. We'll spend the next few days relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of the Spice Island. Ryan and I will relax on the beach, go diving at one of Zanzibar’s world renowned dive sights, swim with the dolphins at Kizimkazi, and take in the unique culture of the island. We'll stay 4 nights at Pongwe Beach Club in a sea view suite.
Day 12
Today we will sadly say goodbye to Africa and fly home, spending the 30 hour flight looking at the amazing pictures we were able to capture.
