Hi everyone!
First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift for which we could ask. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.
We have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! Mark and I are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. Neither of us have every been to Costa Rica and we can't wait to see two oceans, cloud forests, volcanoes, monkeys, tropical birds and plants and, of course, the pool chairs. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than anything we could buy.
We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.
Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).
Love,
Tanya and Mark
We're going to Costa Rica!
Dominated by mountain ranges and verdant forests, world class beaches and two oceans, Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The range of ecosystems is unmatched from smoldering volcanoes and misty cloud forests. The wealth of flora and fauna is protected by more than 190 biological reserves, national parks and wildlife refuges. Despite its tiny size, Costa Rica is home to almost 5% of the world's identified species. Costa Rica has 12 different "life zones" and we want to see all of them!
The time of year we have chosen for the wedding and the honeymoon, April, is the end of the dry season, so hopefully it won't rain on our zipline. We expect a range of temperatures from the 90s on the Pacific side beaches to a low of 60 up in the cloud forests. So when Mark asks why I have so many clothes in the suitcase, I can blame it on the varied climates.
We will be staying in the Guanacaste region to futher explore the areas we didn't see the week before while preparing for the wedding. Mostly, this will be a good launching point to visit the volcanoes, waterfalls, and canopy tours.
