Welcome to our honeymoon registry. Our big day is approaching quickly, and we're excited to see you in October! We really look forward to not only celebrating the start of our marriage with you, but also the lasting relationships that we have with each and every one of you. We honestly feel that we wouldn't be who we are without the people that have been so dear to us along the way.

We know that this isn't a typical wedding registry, but there are many aspects of our current situation that preclude us from being traditional. By the time we get married, Jason will have been in Yemen for 10 weeks... only to turn back around for Yemen's gloriously jagged hills for another 8 months after the honeymoon. In the meantime, we're holding off on a move to a bigger place, and making do with all the stuff we need and all the space we have here in the condo.

We'd love to make this honeymoon a community project. We've had a blast scouring all the travel sites and finding all the things we'd love to do. Through our research, Greece has already proven to be absolutely gorgeous with endless opportunities to unwind, indulge, and explore! We'd love your input on the ideas we've come up with and suggestions of things that we've missed. We're really looking forward to this incredible opportunity to travel in one of the world's most historically beautiful places, and will be so grateful that you all can help us create honeymoon memories that will last a lifetime!

We're going to Athens, Santorini, Crete!

We won't be wasting anytime leaving Washington for an incredible honeymoon in Greece. First, we'll make a brief stop in Athens, homeland to gods, goddesses and some of the world's greatest philosophers and athletes.We'll explore the iconic ancient temples like the Acropolis and its Parthenon, lounge along the more secluded and glorious beaches and feast at quaint tavernas and restaurants along the water's edge.

After two days, we'll catch a ferry to Santorini where we will be welcomed by whitewashed houses pasted onto the high clifftops of Fira's caldera. Our visit to Santorini will be split between three nights in our honeymoon suite nestled on the black beach of Kamari and 2 nights experiencing the culture and nightlife of Fira. Our days will be filled exploring the volcanic island famous for its archaeological wonders, dramatic views and startlingly blue water.

We'll finish up our trip with 5 days on the picturesque island of Crete. Steeped in myth, culture and 4,000 years of history, Crete is the Mediterranean's cradle of Minoan civilization. We'll dine with locals and explore the culture of some of Greece's oldest and most charming villages. We'll stroll Byzantine churches and Minoan ruins, relics 4000 years old. And we'll simply bask in the sun of the sugar-fine sand beaches, enjoying the moments together - relaxing, catching up, and looking forward to all the years we'll have together.
