Welcome and thank you for stopping by!

We hope to see you in November at our reception at Golden Gardens--we're thrilled for the opportunity to have a big celebration with our family and friends. Good food, great company, beautiful views--and Baylor. It will surely be a night to remember!

In addition to creating a traditional gift registry, we have also created this honeymoon registry. We thought this would be a unique way for our friends and family to help us create some wonderful memories that we will always cherish. We' ve included more information about our honeymoon itinerary below. We're going to the South, y'all!

Thanks again for visiting, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Love,
Sheila and Baylor

We're going to Southern Tour--Savannah, Charleston, and Asheville!

For our honeymoon, we'll be touring the South for a week, spending our time in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah,_Georgia">Savannah, Georgia</a>; <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston,_South_Carolina">Charleston, South Carolina</a>; and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asheville,_North_Carolina">Asheville, North Carolina</a>.

Why the South?

When we first became engaged, we had pondered the possibility of eloping. And out of the blue, Baylor said, "What about Savannah?" Why Savannah came to Baylor's mind, we'll never know (although Sheila suspects it may have something to do with that fat-frying, butter-smothering Paula Deen), but even after we decided to get married in Washington, the thought of Savannah still remained.

After we decided to go to Savannah for our honeymoon, it wasn't much of a stretch to go north a couple of hours to another beautiful historic Southern city, Charleston. And since we were in South Carolina, well heck, it wasn't too far to visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, something Sheila had wanted to see ever since she was a child.

We'll be taking in all the sights on our honeymoon, including the many historical houses of the three cities (and ending with the ultimate house, the <a href="http://www.biltmore.com/">Biltmore</a>) and <a href="http://www.nps.gov/fosu/">Fort Sumter</a>, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. We'll even spend Halloween on a <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2003/TRAVEL/10/30/sprj.ft03.hauntedsavannah/index.html">ghost tour</a> of Savannah, dubbed "the most haunted city in America."

Plus, considering Baylor's background (his family being from Texas) and Sheila's (having grown up in Florida and Alabama), the question becomes, Why not the South?
