To begin our trip, we'll be driving from Pittsburgh to Lauren's parent's house in Maryland to drop Sadie off at Camp Duquette (thanks, Pam and Jim!). Thankfully, the Duquettes live near a couple major airports, so we'll be starting the first leg of our trip at Dulles. We'll get a sneak peek of Heathrow during our layover, before reaching our first destination: Venice!

Venice has been on Lauren's bucket list, so we can't wait to check this off the list and explore the gorgeous and historic city for an entire week! After that week, we'll be using Europe's superior train system to travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia––somewhere neither Lauren nor Max have ever been.

When planning our honeymoon, we wanted to visit somewhere off the beaten path, and ideally with mountains. We're excited to explore Slovenia's capital, as well as some nearby towns, to get the feel for a less touristy, but equally beautiful, area of Europe. After 4 days, we'll make a brief pit stop in Trieste (which Max is particularly excited to experience!) before continuing our train journey back to Venice.

Our final leg will head from Venice to London. Because Lauren studied abroad there during the very early days of our relationship (she flew just a month after we became a couple!), she wanted to spend just a couple of days there with Max to show him the highlights and see if she still remembers how to get around town without Google Maps (unlikely, but we'll see).

We'll depart London for BWI on November 19 to reunite with Sadie and spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Lauren's family in Maryland. Thankfully, we'll only have a 3-day workweek that week, so we can recover from any jet lag!
