We have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! Rick and I are looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of dinnerware (especially at Rick's breakage rate!).

We're going to Part 1 of 2: To Vancouver and Whistler BC!

Vancouver BC and Whistler BC

We are planning a two part Honey-moon. Part One will take us for a combined one week to Vancouver BC via Amtrak and then on to Whistler BC.

Part Two will be a Beach Holiday somewhere warm we hope, and later in the year. We don't have the details for this second part of our Honeymoon as of yet.

Vancouver BC: Surrounded by water on three sides and nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range, Vancouver is the largest city in the province of British Columbia with over half a million residents and one of the mildest climates in Canada. Home to spectacular natural scenery and a bustling metropolitan core, Vancouver was Host City to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2010. Whether just relaxing in a park or bike riding around the seawall, there is always something to do in Vancouver.

Whistler BC: Host to the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler and nearby Blackcomb boast more vertical feet, more lifts, and more ski terrain than any other ski resort in North America -- many experts call the Whistler complex the continent's premier ski resort. Train Tickets - We're going to relax and take Amtrak to Vancouver. We love to sit in the observation car with all the windows so we can really enjoy the scenic route! We'll probably get something to eat in the dining car too.

Double Decker Bus - This is the "Hop on Hop off" Big Bus Vancouver Tour, and it is a great way to see this city. It will definitely help us get acquainted quickly so we can explore by foot the remainder of the week.

After a lot of walking we will take a rest by enjoying a couple of fun and scenic Pedi-Cab Tours. It's like riding in a carriage! We might go through the park or China Town, we'll see what the itinerary is once we get there.

Car Rental: Sports car rental. Va va va vroom! Okay, we'll probably rent a Neon or Kia. Something made out of shiny red plastic for sure. We want to go check out Whistler BC for a few days as Clare has never been there before.
