Costa Rica, a tropical paradise and an adventure of a country, lies somewhere in Latin America and can be reached by plane from Los Angeles, or by walking, if one has enough time. Outside of other tourists, it has amazing destinations and beaches described by the New York Times as "unsullied." An ornithologist's paradise with native bird species, the country is also becoming a hub for ecotourism, while at the same time offering some amazing golf spots. We'll traipse through the jungle (actually a rainforest), relax on the beach, and take an adventure or two.

If we have the time and enough dinero, we'll make our way to Peru. Where the peaks of the Andes rise and fall into the tropical forests and make way towards the sea, we'll find lots of things to do. The big catch is Machu Picchu, reachable by bus in hours or hiking in days along the Inca trail. We'll eat some ceviche, open a bottle of wine, and enjoy our sunrise moments.
