The day after the wedding we fly off to San Francisco and then head north into wine country. We will be staying in the Vintner's Inn, a lovely inn that is centrally located for the areas around Sonoma and the Russian River Valley, for 4 nights and then at the Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa, another inn located on the coast, for the last couple of days. We plan to visit wineries, sample the local fare, enjoy the beauty of the region, relax, and explore what this region has to offer.

It was not easy coming up with a destination for our honeymoon! It's hard to narrow down where in the world you want to go when you love travel as we do -- really there was no place that we could rule out because we want to go just about everywhere. We considered just about every continent before returning back to our own for the dream destination. In the end, we thought about what we want out of the trip and decided that Northern California had it all. For me, it came down to the mental image of Randy and I sitting on a patio in an area of breathtaking beauty, sipping wine, and savoring our love. We hope to do and see and experience a good bit while we are out there, but I am sure it will all be interlaced with interludes just like that where we are able to sit back and just enjoy. After all, that is what memories are made of.
