Hello Family and Friends and thank you for visiting our wedding registry.
When John and Nikki met, John already owned a home equipped with all the home essentials that any soon-to-be-married couple would need. In recognition of this fact, this site was designed for couples who already have all the towels and dishes and home goods that they need and this website invites and enables our friends and family to make gifts out of specific components of our honeymoon trip. So for an unconventional couple, having an unconventional wedding, why not have an unconventional registry? We know that it is traditional to register for home furnishings and appliances for your wedding, but we just didn't feel that we were in need for anything like that. And since most people will be traveling quite a ways to be with us on our wedding day, we thought this was easier than lugging a mixer or a set of fine china onto an airplane and a little more fun than just handing over cold hard cash (although cold hard cash will gladly be accepted).
As most of you know, we love to travel and have traveled together to many destinations both domestic and international. We've been to Phoenix, New York, Orlando, Southern California, Chicago, the Grand Canyon and Seattle, and just returned from an 18 day backpacking trip throughout most of Europe. All of those trips were very sight-seeing oriented and action packed, but a honeymoon presents us with an opportunity to see even more of the world together... but at a relaxed, comfortable pace from the comfort of our poolside beach chairs, getting a tan with drinks in hand.
Although the greatest gift we could ask for is your presence at our wedding, given that our friends and family are spread out around the country, should you feel compelled to give us a present, this registry will allow you to sponsor part of our Honeymoon.
We're very excited and look forward to celebrating our costume-mandatory-Halloween-themed-wedding-extravaganza with everyone in Las Vegas on October 20, 2012. We can't wait to see everyone, and don't forget your costumes!
Love,
John & Nikki
We're going to St. Lucia and Turks & Caicos Islands!
We will be spending one week in St. Lucia and one week in Turks & Caicos.
St. Lucia is a world heritage site that includes a drive-in volcano, botanical gardens, chocolate plantations, rain forests, Pigeon Island National Park, and most importantly the Majestic twin Peaks known as "The Pitons". A genuine, natural landscape of gorgeous palm-fringed beaches, miles of unspoiled rainforest and the majestic Pitons, are sure to indulge every taste. Natural waterfalls, breath-taking views, friendly locals and authentic culture impress the most travelled individuals for a holiday with lasting memories.
The Islands of Turks & Caicos consists of 40 different islands and cays, only 8 of which are inhabited. Middle Caicos and North Caicos represent the best of the environment, with lush green woodlands, and the biggest cave network in the Caribbean. Parrot Cay and Pine Cay are privately owned islands and are home to the most exclusive resorts. Providenciales is the most well known of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is the center of the tourism industry with a wide range of hotels, restaurants, attractions and facilities. Grand Turk and Salt Cay offer a glimpse into Caribbean history with great Bermudian architecture and a rustic charm as well as some of the best diving and probably the most relaxing time you will ever have.
