WELCOME TO OUR HONEYMOON REGISTRY!!!
We are so excited about our upcoming wedding! It seems to be approaching so quickly! We are looking forward to seeing everybody here in San Juan Capistrano this June. It is going to be so wonderful to have all of our family and closest friends together to celebrate with us, as we make our covenant between each other and God. We especially appreciate all of you that live outside of the Southern California area who are planning to attend. We hope you'll enjoy this special day as much as we will!
We are really looking forward to our first adventure as a husband and wife. We both agreed that our "dream honeymoon" would be somewhere warm and tropical with crystal clear water. We just couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our first nine days of marriage than playing in the water and relaxing in a tropical paradise. After considering a couple of places, we decided on the island of Bora Bora in French Polynesia. This island has secluded beaches, volcanoes, lush rainforest, colorful marine life and a very rich culture! We were sold after hearing one of Lauren's good friends was able to secure us a reservation. We are staying at a resort in a bungalow right over the water and we could not be more excited!
When we were trying to decide where to register, we came across this site and thought it would be a fun way to get our guests involved with our honeymoon planning. It offers an alternate option to traditional "store" registries. The memories that we will make on this once in a lifetime trip will warm our hearts well into our old age. We will always be grateful to our generous friends and family who helped make it possible. Thank you for your support and helping us have a wedding and honeymoon we will remember forever!
We're going to Bora Bora, Tahiti!
We are not going to waste any time getting our honeymoon started. We are departing LAX on Air Tahiti Nui at 11:00 PM the evening of the wedding! Which leaves very little time to get things cleaned up after the reception. We are so thankful for our families and friends for offering to contribute their time and hard work to help us get things squared away before we leave.
Our 8 1/2 hour red eye flight will arrive in Papeete, Tahiti at 4:30 AM local time. Which is in the same time zone as Hawaii. (Three hours behind us here in socal.) We are so thankful that that international date line isn't involved. Once that line is crossed the jet lag always takes some getting used to. We have about a 3 hour layover in Papeete until we hop on a small turboprop plane for the 1 hour and fifteen minute flight to Bora Bora.
There appear to be some differences that scream out you are far from home. One example, is that Bora Bora's airport parking lot is a tiny boat dock in a large turquoise lagoon. There we will be picked up and ferried to the resort. We are so anxious to find out some of the other "subtleties." This is where the adventure begins!
