"Il dolce far niente" - an Italian phrase that means "the sweetness of doing nothing." Now that's a phrase we can relate to, especially when it comes to our honeymoon.

We both love an active travel experience with plenty of culture and Italy seems like the perfect place for both culture and romance. Although Kirby has been to Italy, she has only been to Rome and Venice and she fell in love with the country, so she's ready to go back and see more of it with Tommy on their first trip as husband and wife!

We will be focusing most of our trip on the northern and central parts of the country. We'll start in Venice, the perfect city to ditch the map and get lost. From there, we'll head to Florence and explore the Renaissance city. We simply can't go to Italy without a trip to Tuscany for some vino! We've been told Cinque Terre can't be missed, so we'll hike through the famous 5 towns on the Italian Riveria. Our trip will come to end in Rome where we'll explore the Colosseum and the Vatican and fill up on as much gelato as possible before heading home.
