Hola, Sawasdee ka, Merhaba!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We have been lucky enough to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newlywed couple typically needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at our breakage rate!).

Thank you all again, we can't wait to see you at the wedding - or earlier!

Love,
K&K

We're going to Nepal!

We're going to Nepal!

We literally cannot think of a better way to kickoff our marriage than by sleeping on the floor and living off lentil soup while being surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful scenery and its highest peaks.

We’ve done a lot of international traveling together over the years, starting with our 3 month backpacking trip through Southeast Asia, to sneaking into Cuba, visiting Kelly’s exchange brother in Iceland, and most recently, spending time in the Andes Mountains in Patagonia. Traveling together has given us some of greatest experiences that our bond is built on, and it has continued to reinforce that we should partner together to travel through life.

Our honeymoon trip to the Himalayas will be like nothing we’ve ever done before. Trekking to the Mt. Everest Base Camp has been on ‘our list’ for quite some time, however, our plans shifted slightly after we began our research on the area. We’ve now decided to trek to the Gokyo Ri region, or the ‘lake district’ of the Everest Region, which (we’ve read) has some of the most stunning vistas on the planet. We’ll spend 7 days ascending, 4 descending, and will reach our final peak over 17,500 feet. This is definitely not your average honeymoon!

We created the registry as a guide to our trip, outlining our itinerary and the equipment and necessities we’ll rely on at different points of the trip. We’ve done our best to emulate our travel plans and all the stops we’ll be making, and we hope you enjoy reading through it as much as we’ve enjoyed planning and putting this together!

We thank you so much for your generosity in helping us make the trip of our lifetime!

Insurance is an absolute must for any traveller in the Everest region as the remoteness and high altitude can complicate minor injuries. Himalayan trekkers need insurance that covers Helicopter Rescue with a 5500m height limit.
