Hello all!! Welcome to our honeymoon registry! After many discussions and long nights of restless sleep we've decided to go to ITALY!!! Doug has never been, and I've always wanted to go back.
Because we need very little for the house, we thought what a great idea it would be to put our honeymoon on the registry. (Thanks Leisa & Jamie for the idea in the first place!!) We both love to travel and are planning to spend two glorious weeks throughout the country.
We are open to all ideas of favorite places to visit, restaurants to eat at, or wine to drink! We do know, everyone doesn't have the same fantasies about Italy like we do, so there are a very few select things that we have on a few different registries that you can find on our wedding website.
Thanks again, and we love you all!!
K & D
We're going to Florence, Venice, Almalfi, Rome!
Florence
Once we fly into Rome, we will take the train to Florence. We are going to spend 3 days & 3 nights (Monday through Thursday) in Florence. An entire day will be spent to Pisa and Siena. The remaining days we will explore all Florence has to offer. I have a very strong feeling my wallet and bank account won't be happy when we visit the leather district!!!!
Venice
Thursday afternoon we will make our way to Venice. We are going to spend 4 magnificent days in Venice. I am so excited to explore the city and am honestly fearful of us not coming home from all i hear about Venice. One day, we are going to site see in Verona. But the remaining days will be spent traveling around by gondola sipping wine and having our breath taken away by the beauty.
Almafi Coast
If we can tear ourselves away from Venice, on Monday we will travel to Naples. From Monday night through Wednesday night we will spend our time in the Mediterranean sea and see everything the coast has to offer. I just couldn't imagine spending my honeymoon and not at least once go to a beach. (I know they are very very different from the ones over here but still.)
Rome
As I said before, if we don't decide to stay in Italy, our final days will be spent in Rome. Since Doug has never been, we can't NOT see Rome. Since this is the only place that I will be going back to, I think I can at least give him 2 days. I fully intend on these 2 days being filled with the sites. No relaxing. Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Vatican City, and Colosseum and the ruins. Everyone we have talked to who has been to Italy in the past few years say that Rome was their least favorite. But, as I said before, we have to go.
