Hi everyone!
First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.
We are in the stage of our lives where we are lucky to have most of what we need at home, and with the girls growing up, we are attempting to clean up and move old stuff out of the home! While we plan a short getaway right after we are married, we wanted to plan a longer, more adventurous trip for us when the timing is easier that we can look forward to. With all of the responsibilities of the last few years, it will give the two of us a chance to really get away and explore somewhere together, making some major memories. This is how we settled on a honeymoon registry.
While your presence at our day is special enough, anyone who would like to honor us with a gift has the option to scroll through our registry and choose a way to contribute to our trip. We've worked hard to make it pretty thorough, and with many different options and price points. We hope you might have a little fun choosing one or more of our adventures for us! There is also an option to give an amount of your choice, and feel free to make a recommendation for us for what we should do with your gift! Feel free to look through our itinerary before making a choice that is fun for you.
We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note. Please note that it will take some time - due to the school year, we will wait to take our trip until after the school year is over to make this easier on the rest of the family.

We're going to Lisbon, Porto, and Sao Miguel Island (Azores)!
Len has always dreamed of visiting Porto, Portugal, and Katy has had the Azores and Portugal on her list for some time, so it was easy for us to decide where to do our big, adventurous honeymoon! While our registry outlines our itinerary pretty well, our plan is to spend a few days exploring Lisbon, then venture to Sintra's palaces and visit Sintra Village, an UNESCO site.
Before we venture north to Porto, we will get a chance to see Fátima's sacred sites (including another UNESCO site), and try pastéis de nata (probably a few times!). Then we will head north on a train to Porto, where we will tour and cruise the Douro Valley and taste port wine where it's made.
Finally, we will fly out to São Miguel in the Azores to hike around its volcanic crater lakes, hot springs, and landscapes that they say feel like another planet. We have opted to add an extra few days at the end on São Miguel to visit some botanical gardens for Katy, hike for some more views, and relax on a beach or two before heading back home.
