Hi everyone! Welcome and thank you for visiting our Honeymoon Registry!
First, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we will remember always, and we are so happy that we get to celebrate this happy occasion with you.
As we began to think about a gift registry, we realized that while there are some items we'd love to have for our home, we are fortunate to already have many of the "essential" home items a newly married couple would need. This combined with our extreme love of travel helped us ultimately decide on a honeymoon registry. We hope you will help us make our dream honeymoon an epic reality! It's no secret that we love to travel - Josh and I have taken many exciting trips together, but this is different, this is special. We are very much looking forward to our first real adventure together as husband and wife. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come.
We'll be snapping many photos along the way to document the experience that you will help to create, and we will share them with you as a part of your much-deserved "thank you".
Thanks again, and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).
We're going to Mo'orea, Huahine, Bora Bora -French Polynesia!
Josh and I have quite a long list of places we hope to visit together someday, and Bora Bora has been in the top five since we first met. It's actually been on my personal list for a very long time, but was a trip I wanted to wait to enjoy one day with my husband. We considered a few other destinations like Italy, Alaska, or even New Zealand with a quick stop in Fiji (just to round out our top five!), but we read some feedback and advice during the planning process that we took to heart. Many newlywed couples talked about how exhausted they were at the end of everything, and how they wish they would've planned a more relaxing honeymoon. I can't imagine going to any of the above places (except Fiji) and just....relaxing! So we decided on the beautiful, tranquil Society Islands of French Polynesia.
Aquatic, tropical beauty and a breathtaking volcanic backdrop is what attracted us to this splendid place. Mo'orea is unique among the Society Islands in having magnificent expanses of both white and black sand beaches. Its stunning scenery and close proximity to Papeetē (Tahiti's capital city) made us decide to spend time here first. We also plan to spend some time on one of the less commercial islands in the group, Huahine, to experience untouched Tahitian tradition.
Bora Bora's claim to fame is its beautiful lagoon, surrounded by a barrier reef and Motu (small islands). We can't wait to enjoy a luxurious experience unique to these islands - the overwater bungalow. From what I've read, this is definitely something everyone should get to enjoy at least once!
We plan to arrive in Tahiti on Monday morning, September 3rd, via a red-eye flight from LA. From there, we ferry over to Mo'orea and spend the first portion of our trip at the Hilton Mo'orea Lagoon & Spa. We then fly over to Huahine for a 3-night stay at the very private Te Tiare Beach Resort. The last leg of our vacation will bring us to Bora Bora and the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa for an amazing over-water bungalow experience.
We can't tell you how excited we are for this honeymoon! We've included some of the activities and experiences we'll be enjoying (or would like to enjoy) below. Thank you so much for considering a gift toward this once in a lifetime experience!
