Dearest Family and Friends!

John and I want you to know that your presence at our wedding, along with your love and best wishes are the greatest gifts we could ask for! The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us on our wedding day is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We are not the most traditional people and not the most traditional couple. Our wedding marks 10 years (to the month!) of our relationship. Since we've been together for so long, we have already collected a lot of household items, including the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple traditionally need. As we sat down to work on a registry, we felt that it just didn't feel right, the things we enjoy the most are not material things but time and experiences had together.

With that in mind, we could not think of a more fitting gift than the gift of travel. We are passionate about seeing the world and exploring new places.

While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as a married couple. When we started talking about about our honeymoon, we decided that we wanted to go on an unforgettable trip... something like an African photo safari (John will be taking the photos, I will just be along for the ride)

It is so fun and exciting to think that you all can be a part of our first trip as husband and wife. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at our breakage rate!).
