Hi Friends and Family!

Thank you for taking the time to be with us on our wedding day. Your presence is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you. If you can't join us, we hope to see you very soon.

While we have all we need for our everyday lives, Steve and I will never tire of travel. This honeymoon registry is a way for you to help us explore a new international destination! We have taken many trips together, but we are very much looking forward to our first "big" adventure as a married couple when we go to Bali in December.

Our honeymoon will begin in Ubud, at the Kappa Senses Ubud. We will spend Christmas at this luxury resort, known for it's eco-friendly environment and cultural experiences. Ubud is known as the arts, culture, and spiritual hub of Bali, and we look forward to touring several temples, shopping the artisan markets, and exploring the beautiful rice paddies that abound. After Ubud we will travel north into the rain forest, staying a few nights in our own little treehouse-style cabin, hiking, and searching for waterfalls. From there we hope to rent motorbikes for a trek up to the northern shore of Bali, known for its dolphins. Finally, we will spend New Years in the busier region of Seminyak, staying in a lovely villa walking distance to the beaches. Again, we hope to rent some bikes and explore the southern coastal areas of Bali before we head back to Michigan.

While we are planning some tours and activities, such as visiting the famed Ubud Monkey Forest, we also hope to find some spontaneous adventures and make great memories.

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

We're going to Ubud, Kekamatan Banjar, and Kuta Selatan Bali!

Steve and I will be spending the first five days of our trip at the gorgeous Kappa Senses Resort in Ubud.

Next, we will venture further north into the jungle of Kekamatan Banjar, where we will stay at in a treehouse-style Airbnb in the Munduk Pineapple House.

Last, we will head back to the south and spend New Year's Even near the beach in an Airbnb villa with a view of Jimbaran Bay.

Bali is known for it's Batik silk prints, rare textiles and colorful carved masks, as well as baskets and everything teak. Balinese coffee and spices are also sought after, as well as gold and silver jewelry.

The best way to get around many areas of Bali is by renting a motorbike. Most rental companies will deliver them to your hotel and pick them up after the rental period.

Help us get from place to place with our luggage in tow. We will need to hire a driver from and back to the International Airport in Denpasar. And when we aren't tooling around on our mopeds, we will be transferring between accommodations.

Balinese Cooking Class - We'll learn to cook a wide variety of delicious Balinese dishes (before eating them too!). The classes include a trip to the local market before arriving at an organic farm to prepare the meals.

Temple Tours- We'll do both independent and organized tours to visit a number of Bali's historic temples. Famous attractions include the Royal Palace in Ubud, Basakih Temple, and Uluwatu, perched high on the seaside cliffs of the Bukit Peninsula.
