Hello Family & Friends!

As many of you know, Jacob and I are obsessed with hiking and mountains. We have been on many hiking adventures in the United States. Unfortunately, we have yet to travel outside of the United States together. In fact, Jacob has never left the country! We don't have a set date for this trip-- in fact it might be a couple years down the road due to the military work schedule and saving enough finances for this dream trip. We hope you will consider gifting us this life changing experience.

Dream Trip: NEPAL
I wouldn't quite consider this a "honeymoon". This trip is actually more of a personal challenge and spiritual adventure. Nothing in the world makes Carly and Jacob more happy and at peace than hiking through snowy mountains. Jacob and I have always talked about doing a long through-hike such as the Appalachian trail/ Pacific Crest Trail and I personally have been drawn to the gorgeous Himalayan Mountains of Nepal. So why not combine our love for long hikes and Nepal and hike up Mount Everest! JUST KIDDING-- but we do have an eye on doing the Annapurna Circuit, which takes approximately 2 weeks to hike and is actually realistic for moderately experienced hikers.

So what's this Annapurna Circuit you speak of?
The Annapurna Circuit is a approximately 2 weeks worth of hiking through the Himalayas of Nepal! It is a moderate/challenging hike according to the blogs I have read. I am guessing it will be very challenging considering the crazy altitude of these mountains. A guide/ Sherpa is recommended, but Jacob is pretty stubborn about wanting to carry everything himself. Sherpa's are highly respected in Nepal and are able to make a livable wage by doing this job. We will hike many miles each day from one tea house to the next! These tea houses will provide us with a hostel-like sleeping arrangements and delicious Nepali meals/beer! After our long hiking journey we hope to explore different temples, explore different villages, and see some wildlife. This trip to Nepal would be one we would talk about for a life time!
