The best gift that you can give us, besides being with us on our wedding, would be to help us celebrate the beginning of our life together... our honeymoon. We have decided to go to a continent where neither of us has been... Africa. We will go to Tanzania where we can get both adventure and relaxation.

As you see we have already decided some of the exciting activities that we will do in Tanzania (see below the map). We will be updating the registry as we find out more information.

Entry to Kilimanjaro National Park: Our first adventure! Klimbing Mount Kilimanjaro (5896m)! We would die to see Africa's highest peak. We will do the Machame route, which offers a stunning scenic "slide show" over 6 days.

Kilimanjaro Day 1: Many would say that the Machame route is one of the the most beautiful up the mountain. The first stages along the Machame Trail is mainly through rainforest, with bright ferns, huge trees and tiny colorful flowers.

Kilimanjaro Day 2: Leaving the rainforest behind, we will carry on with a steep ascent walking through moorland. Here the vegetation clings to what soil it can find on the steep rocky ridge.

Kilimanjaro Day 3: Today we begin our walk with a gradual ascent. As one of the worlds largest volcanoes, Kilimanjaros geology is fascinating! The large black buttress contrasts sharply with the orange cliffs of the "Lava Tower" (4700m).

Kilimanjaro day 4: The vistas we will see as we ascend up the Karangu Valley today are stunning. After a very steep and exhilarating ascent up the Barranco Wall, we will see Kibo Peak, towering majestically above us.

Kilimanjaro Day 5: Although at times we may be able to walk for only 10 paces before we stop and rest, there is no doubt that it is all worth it when we reach the top. We will continue around the crater rim to the highest point in Africa at 5895m.
