Hi everyone!
First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.
We have been blessed to have a lot (but not all!) of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While Matt and I have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon might last longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at my breakage rate!).
We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.
Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding (or earlier!).
Love,
Matt & Amanda
We're going to Wailea-Makena, Lahaina, Hana, Sharpsville!
We have traveled to so many other countries, both together and individually, that we felt like we should stick around and appreciate our own! We've been told by many that Hawaii has a lot to offer, and we are planning an amazing trip to Maui that should be nothing short of paradise. From beaches to volcanoes, sunrises to snorkels to stargazing, and lanai's to luau's - we're going to experience it all. With your help, we can have the honeymoon of our dreams! By sponsoring one of our many activities, we will be able to do things that otherwise would not fit into our newlywed budget. We can't wait to take a little piece of our friends and family along with us as we embark on our first journey as husband and wife.
We will be traveling for ten days - half will be spent at a nice boutique hotel in Wailea on the southern end of the island, which will afford us better access to hiking, beaches, and waterfalls. The other half will be spent in Lahaina, an old whaling town on the western side of Maui, in a private B&B perfect for massages, relaxation, and water activities. In both locations, we have opportunities to experience the quintessential Hawaiian aloha, culinary masterpieces from world class chefs, and most of all, each other's company. We will be spending both Christmas and New Year's in Maui, and we plan on celebrating both as traditionally as we can (which might involve a surfing Santa and a palm tree with lights...). If all goes well, we will return refreshed and ready for our second wedding reception in PA (hosted by Matt's parents, Ken and Sue) and the return to real life: one engineer and one medical student - newlyweds in Columbia, SC. Can't wait!
