Greetings to all of our family and friends! Thank you for visiting our honeymoon registry.

With the wedding fast approaching, we took a pause from wedding planning to think through where we wanted to register for the wedding. Most of you already know that we've combined households and as a result have very good insight into just how much "stuff" we really have. After discovering we had four coffee makers, 40 wine glasses and multiples of most kitchen appliances, we realized we needed take a different approach to registering.

Given our love of travel and our excitement for a relaxing honeymoon, registering for our honeymoon to Greece seemed like a fabulous idea! Neither of us has been there before and are looking forward to a lazy, blissful eleven days away.

As a side note, we did register for our China and Crystal patterns as well (see our registry at Bloomingdale's.) Even though our cabinets overfloweth with dishes and glasses, we do love the tradition of registering for these timeless items and using them for years to come.

We love you all and look forward to seeing everybody in Alexandria/Washington in September for the wedding. It will be wonderful to have all of our friends and family there to share this special day with us!

We're going to Greece!

We have both always wanted to visit the beautiful sites in Greece. We have planned a fun and sun filled eleven days away throughout the country - on the islands and the mainland.

We land in Athens on September 22nd and journey to our first destination, the island of Santorini. We have five nights planned on the stunning island of Santorini known for it's spectacular sunsets and dramatic cliffs. Next we journey to the island of Mykonos where we'll be able to enjoy our time at a stunning hotel just 20 steps away from the beach. After four nights on the island of Mykonos, we head back to Athens for two days of exploring this amazing city before heading back to the States.

Wine lovers that we are - what better way to get to know their taste in wine than to go on a wine tasting excursion to some local vinyards?

Greece is rich in history and we definitely want to see Ancient Akrotiri - the most important archaeological site on the island of Santorini. Aktrotiri was frozen in time around 1450 BC by eruption of the island's volcano. Admission to the site.

We knew we couldn't go on this trip without doing some fishing! Two hours on a traditional Kaiki fishing boat will give us a chance to see if we can haul in our own dinner!

With all of it's beautiful beaches, what better place to go horseback riding. We will ride along the beach and find a perfect spot to watch the sunset.

For the final leg of our wonderful adventure, we will spend two nights in Athens at the Classical Athens Imperial Hotel. Located very close to Athens major theatre district, the hotel is superbly situated within the historical center of Athens.
