This is a HUGE year for us! Fabi will be writing and defending her Ph.D. dissertation, which means time to begin the job hunt. Ricky will be assigned to a new project at work for the first time in over 3 years. We will decide on a good place for us to live, which most likely means moving out of the New York City area. ...AND as a most perfect ending to the year, we will celebrate our MARRIAGE and make some exciting memories with our FAVORITE people!

That said, we couldn't think of a better way to begin the new year and our life together other than with some REST and RELAXATION while soaking up the sun on a voyage to French Polynesia!!!! Besides, we figured we’d get a romantic vacation in before we decided to expand the family a bit ;D.

As we began planning our wedding, we realized that between the two of us, we have almost every kitchen gadget and household appliance we need. Also, let's face it...we live in Hoboken and space (especially kitchen space) is precious! SO... we decided to do something a little more creative and stumbled upon a more unique gift that will create memories for a lifetime... our DREAM vacation!!

Our favorite part of this registry is that your gifts will make our honeymoon activities extra special, all of which will soon become some of our most fondest moments. We're going to French Polynesia: The Society Islands!

After a few relaxing days in California, we will head to LAX for our flight to French Polynesia.

We will be spending our first week in Moorea at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa...
Nestled between two bays on the heart-shaped island of Moorea, just 17km across the Sea of Moons from Tahiti's capital Papeete, the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa is set against a stunning mountain backdrop which melts into a crystal clear lagoon. The unspoilt beauty of this verdant paradise, also known as the 'Island of Love', was the inspiration for many works by French Impressionist, Paul Gauguin.

Next, we will fly over to the island of Bora Bora and stay in an overwater bungalow at Le Méridien Bora Bora...
Bora Bora is a small island thick with coconut forests and colorful villages, and is surrounded by miles of fine, white sandy beaches and crystal clear, turquoise water as far as the eye can see. One of the most original and intriguing hotel complexes on the island, Le Méridien Bora Bora is located on the southern point of Motu Piti Aau, a 10-kilometer-long islet on a coral reef. The resort offers unsurpassed views of world-renowned Mount Otemanu – at 725 meters, it is the island’s highest point.
