Greetings friends, family, & loved ones --

We had many, many things planned for our wedding very early, but a proper honeymoon destination eluded us for some time. Montreal was one of our first ideas, but it had been abandoned for other options. However, after a year's worth of consideration, we had looked up packages and made final plans in a couple of days.

In choosing Montreal, QC as a honeymoon destination, we have found a place that's perfect for us in several ways.

1) It's on this continent, which makes for less expense and the chance to have a nice honeymoon without more than a half day's travel each way.

2) Emily's biological family roots are here, and it will be a fantastic opportunity to investigate Quebecois family history, or at least, be in the same place that her family is from. Back to the Motherland, if you will.

3) Neither Tim or Emily have ever been here before, which, considering all the places Tim has been, is somewhat astounding.

4) The convenience factor will allow us to take our honeymoon only three days after the actual wedding, which will be an excellent respite.

5) Um, Montreal is awesome. Done and done.
