Dear Family and Friends,
First off, we'd like to thank everyone for taking the time and effort to travel such lengths to share our special day with us. We look forward to celebrating with you in Italy in June!
Thanks so much for visiting our wedding registry.
Both Morgan and I love to travel, experience new cultures, and meet interesting people from around the world. We can't think of a better way to celebrate our first months together as husband and wife by boarding a plane and embarking on a new adventure. We know this is a trip we will remember forever.
We have selected Tanzania as our honeymoon destination. Both of us are animal lovers and have always dreamt of taking such a trip. Growing up with two sisters, Morgan really likes animals, especially wild animals, (Morgan forced Diane to write this)!
Here are the anticipated highlights of our journey.
Viewing birdlife and tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara National Park. Watching the game at Serengeti National Park. Seeing the largest intact caldera in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Feeling the sand between our toes on the beautiful island of Mnemba Island which is the nesting area for endangered green turtles. Snorkelling in and around the waters and coral reefs surrounding Mnemba Island where we will view at least 400 different marine species.
Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
With all our love,
Diane & Morgan
We're going to Tanzania!
Please note that we will be updating this site regularly.
Day 1
Our journey begins with air travel from Los Angeles International Airport to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon our arrival, we will head to the little town of Arusha which is situated between Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro. We plan to visit Arusha National Park (in Ngurdoto Crater) and take a stroll through one of the largest and oldest coffee plantations in Tanzania.
Days 2, 3, 4
We move onto The Serengeti National Park via a plane ride departing from Arusha Airport.
We are so excited to be staying at the Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp. We can't imagine anything more fantastic than staying in a tent on our safari! The biggest highlight here will be the game drives. We've aslo been told there's a famous camp pizza at lunch time. You-know-who can't wait to get his hands on pizza that supposdely rivals the pizza in Naples!!
Days 5, 6
We'll go on our last early morning game drive at the Serengeti before traveling to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. There are more than 30 000 protected animals in this area.
Our adventures will include game drives on the crater floor and a visit to a traditional Maasai village.
Day 7, 8, 9, 10
We depart the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area to fly to the Zanzibar Airport. We will travel by car and by boat to reach Mnemba Island. Deep blue ocean, magnificent coral reefs, crystal waters.... Need we write more? We'll spend four lovely nights at the Mnemba Island Lodge where we will get to unwind and relax in paradise.
Day 11
Unfortunately this is where our journey ends...but it will have been our best journey ever.
