We will be spending 3 adventure filled weeks touring all that New Zealand has to offer!
The night after our wedding, we jump on a plane to Auckland, which we arrive in two days later because of the international dateline. Our general itinerary from that point is outlined below:

*Upon arrival in Auckland, fly directly to the Bay of Islands in the Northland for some beach relaxation.

*Drive back to Auckland to enjoy the beautiful coastlands, then stay in the "City of Sails".

*On to Rotorua and the Geothermal center of the North Island - Volcanic activity, Maori culture, glowworms, and zorbing!

*Change the pace by traveling to the coastal town of Napier, near the oldest wine region in NZ. Also the home of the national aquarium.

*Spend our last few days on the North Island in the capital city of Wellington before hopping on a ferry to the South Island.

*A few days in Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park where we will hopefully do some great sea kayaking.

*Our next marine-based stop is Kaikoura, known for a vast population of marine life including sperm whales, seals, albatross and playful dolphins.

*The last stop on the East Coast is Christchurch to get another dose of city life before our train ride across Arthur's Pass towards the glaciers!

*We will spend two days surrounded by ice in Franz Josef.

*Our Christmas refuge will be 3 nights in Wanaka, which will be relaxing if we need it, but is also the birthplace of bungee jumping and many other extreme activities.

*A few nights in Queenstown will bring us to the end of our journey.
