Thank you for visiting our Honeymoon Registry. Chris and I are so excited about our wedding celebration on April 20th. Your presence and support of us as we walk into this new phase of life together is the gift we truly desire. But if you insist....

Since we've been out "on our own" for quite a while and live in a small space, we don't necessarily need the typical litany of wedding registry goods. So, in lieu of a regular registry, we've created this Honeymoon Registry. Help us make a memory by contributing toward our post-wedding trip to Asia.

Since I am required to make an international trip this year as part of my grad. degree, we decided to make the most of it and piggyback a honeymoon onto that trip. I had a choice of three continents to visit this year and Chris chose Asia. So, Asia it is! We will both go directly to Beijing where Hyla will begin the MBA trip. Then, we'll continue on to Shanghai. Finally, we'll spend one week on our own in Japan! We will be in Asia in late May and early June.

Fun fact: this will be Chris' first trip overseas! When he asked me to marry him, he said he wanted to travel with me. So, I took that as a promise and off we go! Thank you for your generosity in making this trip possible for both of us!

We will start on the MBA trip in Shanghai/Beijing and then spend a week exploring Japan. We will be in Asia in late May and early June.

Excursion to Temple of Heaven. We will spend the afternoon exploring one of Beijing's largest parks including temples, gardens and arts. We'll need transportation, admission, etc.

Night out on the town! It's time to take advantage of the Tokyo night life and hit the dance floor

We'll spend a day exploring some of the historical and religious landmarks in Hanoi - One Pillar Pagoda, The Temple of Literature, and Jade Mountain Temple. The entrance fees are minimal so we'll have enough left for a green tea and Diet Coke break!

In this Vietnamese city where Asia meets Paris, there will be coffee and baguettes for breakfast! At least twice!

After exploring the city and deciphering the language, we'll need a massage to relax. And, Swedish and Thai massage comes inexpensively here. Yay!

Time to take in some history and Buddhist art at the History Museum, all housed in a building purposely designed with both Chinese and French elements. Again, the admission is inexpensive. Fun on a budget!
