Hi everyone!
We are so excited to be sharing this special occasion with our nearest and dearest! The biggest gift to us is your presence at our wedding.
As some of you may know, we are far from a traditional couple. We'd really love to continue that way! While we've taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to taking our first trip together as husband and wife. This is the beginning of our lifelong adventure together and taking a momentous trip to celebrate our union is really important to us. We'll always have this experience to reminisce about. The photos and memories are far more meaningful to us than a vase or toaster. We're lucky to have all the home "essentials" and can't really squeeze anymore into our modest one-bedroom apartment!
If you know Carol, she takes photos at every moment and will really do her best to document every part of our experience and include it in our thank you note. Thank you and can't wait to see you at our wedding!!
Love, Carol & Joshua
We're going to South Africa & Kenya!
During the past 5 years together, we've shared many experiences in several countries. Traveling is something we find reenergizing and so fulfilling. We've been talking about taking an unforgettable trip. We talked about a few trips and among one was always scuba in the Maldives, but after our last surf trip to Nicaragua, we wanted a change of pace. Time for adventure!
Safari in Kenya! Seeing lions, elephants, zebras, and herds of migratory wildlife in the Masai Mara National Reserve is something that takes our breath away.
We're hoping we'll have the time and funds for Madagascar. It's supposedly like no place else on earth. It barely qualifies as part of Africa: the two are separated by hundreds of kilometres of sea and 165 million years of evolution – long enough for Madagascar’s plants and animals to evolve into some of the weirdest forms on the planet. Nowhere else can you see over 70 varieties of lemur, including one that sounds like a police siren, the world’s biggest and smallest chameleons, and the last stomping ground of the elephant bird, the largest bird that ever lived.
Cage diving with Great White Sharks in South Africa scares the crap out of us, but it's a featured activity! While we want to make this the most adventure packed trip of our lives, we'll most likely wind down at a luxe eco-lodge with tree houses. After relaxing, we'll hike South Africa's Eastern Cape region. It is one of the most beautiful coastlines on earth and much of it is only accessible by foot. There are fantastic natural sights including waterfalls, isolated beaches, untouched forests and rivers.
