While neither of us have been before, from what we understand the entire 600 km northeastern coast of Brazil really does seem amazing. Quiet beaches, tropical temperatures, affordable accommodations, and of course the Brazilians with their positive attitudes. The area is renowned for kiteboarding this time of year as well - with consistent trade winds, wide open spaces, inland lagoons, warm water, and sunny weather.

We plan to arrive in Fortaleza, then travel to Cumbuco and Lagoa Cauipe before heading up the Ceara coast as we explore dunes, surf breaks, small villages, lagoons, and more trade winds from Paracuru, Taiba, Ilha do Guajirú, and then finally Preá and Jericoacoara. We hope that spending at least a few nights in each place before moving on will be an effective way to newly experience this beautiful area of the world together.
