We are headed to Belize. Belize is a special place for Boyd, as he won one of his biggest victories in Belize City 2007. Winning the UCI cross country race there was a moment he will always remember in his cycling career. He also couldn't believe how welcoming the people were and how beautiful the area is. With that said we are going back so we can experience the country together! We are planning to stay in Chaa Creek and explore for the first 5 days. The next 5 days we will discover Caye Caulker. Chaa Creek is a private 365-acre nature reserve set along the banks of the Macal River in the foothills of the Maya Mountains. Chaa Creek has provided a unique adventure travel experience for thousands of people while maintaining an unspoiled ambience. The area offers expeditions that cater to the traveler looking for both physical and intellectual challenges, and their range of programs and activities have been designed to stimulate interest in the environment, culture and archaeology of Belize. Caye Caulker is located one mile west of Belize Barrier Reef, and is a four mile long island, part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef. Caye Caulker has a relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets, golf carts for transportation, and casual dress with no shoes. The weather is usually quite pleasant year around. You can enjoy sailing, diving, birding, jungle tours, fishing, and windsurfing in the clear azure waters of the Caribbean.

Boyd and I want to go to a unique place that will offer our interest in adventure, as well as a place to relax and begin our life together. The types of things we plan to see are the Maya Ruins, Caves, and Rainforests. The beaches have white sands and some of the most beautiful coral reef in the world.
