We both LOVE to travel, and have had some very special memories in our trips to St. John, Maine, Alaska, Chicago, California, and the East Coast. We are excited to take our honeymoon to the next level and leave the country for the trip of a lifetime. We know that getting away for a long trip right after our wedding will be nearly impossible, so we are planning a big trip for either the winter of 2011, or summer of 2012. Right now we are thinking Thailand!?!

Since, we won't be going on our Honeymoon for at least 6-12 months after the wedding, we are planning a "mini-moon" for the weekend after the wedding. We are both really excited to drive down to one of Ohio's secret jewels: The Wilds!

The Wilds is one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Located on nearly 10,000 acres in southeast Ohio, it is home to rare and endangered species from around the world living in natural, open-range habitat, as well as home to hundreds of indigenous species.

They recently built an exclusive adults-only luxury overnight experience: The Nomad Ridge. We will be staying in the cozy comfort of a private yurt! The yurts have their own private deck tucked amid trees overlooking beautiful, sweeping views of the Wilds' animal pasture areas. We will spend our days going on a safari and hiking around the wilderness areas.
