The Tuesday after we say, "I do", we'll fly from San Francisco to Rome where we’ll stay for 4 nights. We plan to explore all Rome has to offer, including the Vatican City State, the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the National Roman Museum, the Galleria Borghese and the Capitoline Museums. We plan to eat our way around the city and introduce our palates to Italian wine.
After exhausting the sites of Rome we’ll travel by train south to the Amalfi coast for some rest and relaxation. We’ll first visit Ravello where we plan to take a cooking class that came highly recommended by a Hamerski family friend. Ravello is also famous for its gardens, Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. Next we’ll travel to Positano, a village on the Amalfi Coast. We plan to tackle the 3,000 stairs amid the hiking trail Footpath of the Gods for some breathtaking views of the coast. We’ll also eat too much gelato while working on our tans on the beach, Spiaggia del Fornillo. After Positano, we’ll take a ferry to the Island of Capri for a night to check out Mount Solaro and spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples. From Capri we’ll travel to Sorrento for the last leg of our trip. We plan to sip cappuccino and people watch at the Piazza Tasso, take in a show at the Teatro Tasso, and relax on the secret beach of Punta del Capo. After a total of 16 days of traveling, we’ll head back to Rome to fly home to San Francisco. We can't wait for our Italian adventure!!
