Turtle Island is a private island with home to only 14 couples at a time. The breathtaking panoramas of the renowned Blue Lagoon and neighboring Yasawa Islands can be seen from our spacious Fijian villa. Gentle winds carry the scent of tropical flowers and the warm, azure waters at our 14 private beaches beckon us to relax. The cuisine, prepared with fresh seafood from local waters and fruits and vegetables grown on the island, is a culinary delight. Imagine us walking hand-in-hand along one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, heading back to our secluded cottage (“bure”) to be greeted by a spacious, romantic, and relaxing atmosphere glittering with sun and a flush of jasmine-scented air over the bed.

In the mornings, we’ll be served a breakfast of fresh fruits, cereals, pastries and muffins fresh from the oven, and specially prepared requests like a lobster omelet. We can enjoy this divine meal on the beach in front of our main Resort with the other island guests (remember there will only be 13 other couples), or we can enjoy it in a quiet spot under palm trees in front of our bure.

From there, the day lays itself out before us like a magic carpet.

Our time on Turtle Island is our own—we can navigate a sailboat around the lagoon or let it float lazily in the sun, snorkel among bright clouds of fish, thunder through the rolling surf on horseback, or explore a green-shaded jungle trail. The options, just like our new life together, are wide open.

We can use any one of the remote silent beaches that ring the island, where a luncheon of lobster and champagne will top off our private beach picnic. Now that...is Turtle Island.

Once we decide that the day is over, we will walk back along the beach under a thick mat of stars. Our bure is cool and dim, and the scent of salt air and frangipani washes over our four-poster bed. At that time we finally realize that Turtle Island is, as respected travel writer Andrew Harper says, "heaven on earth.”
