As if our wedding was not enough, we will be topping off August with a honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands!!! We will spend 6 nights on the Big Island of Hawai'i and four nights in Kauai. We'll start our adventure on the Big Island. We will be flying into the Kona airport and spending our first three nights in the town of Kailua-Kona on the kona coast. We plan on spending plenty of time at the beach, drinking fruity cocktails and recuperating from all of the excitement of the wedding. We will be staying in a private house, Hale He'e Nalu, which is situated across the street from White Sands beach. This will provide the perfect spot from which to explore the west coast of the Big Island.

We'll leave Kailua-Kona on the 21st and head to the east side of the island to the town of Volcano. In Volcano, we'll stay at the Volcano Rainforest Retreat Bed & Breakfast for three nights. Here, we'll be able to experience the lush native rainforest as we cool off at this 3,800 foot elevation. The Guest Cottage, a private cedar cottage with a treetop sleeping loft and full kitchen, will provide us with a perfect sanctuary after hiking in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park or after a night of stargazing atop Mauna Kea.

We will then depart Hawai'i on the 24th and head to Kauai where we'll be staying in Anahola for 4 nights. We'll stay at a quintessential Kauai beach house just 150 feet from a private sandy beach. This will be the perfect location to explore this island. We'll be able to spend the last 4 days of our honeymoon relaxing on the beach, exploring the Na Pali Coast, hiking in Waimea Canyon, and taking a few surf lessons at Hanalei Bay.
