Hi everyone!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We have been blessed to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly engaged couple needs. We hope you find that this registry is a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While we have done lots of exciting stuff together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. It is because of the lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip that we finally settled on a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. After all, the memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new George Foreman grill!

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Thanks again and we can't wait to see you at the wedding!

Lots of love,
Rebecca and Scott

We're going to El Salvador!

We arrive in San Salvador, El Salvador's capitol city.

From there we travel to Apaneca/Llamatepec Biosphere Reseverve, which will serve as a basecamp as we explore sites such as El Tazumal Mayan ruins, a Rainforest Alliance certified coffee farm, and nearby waterfalls and geysers at the foot of Santa Ana volcano. We'll also have the opportunity to horseback ride, hike or bike through the rainforest and explore the canopy on a series of bridges and ziplines.

Then we travel to Los Pinos coffee cooperative where we will camp along the coastline of the volcanic crater lake Coatepeque for 4 days. While there we will volunteer with children and members of the Los Pinos coffee cooperative and learn about the community's efforts to improve their lives through the development of eco-tourism on their property. Volunteering will provide the opportunity to share our good will and labor with the community and to experience the local culture more fully.

After volunteering with the coffee cooperative we head to Joyas de Ceren, one of El Salvador's unique World Heritage sites known as the Pompeii of the Mayan world, where we will get to see how the Mayans lived over 1400 years ago.

From there we travel to Playa El Sunzal, world renowned surfing destination, for some relaxation, surfing lessons, and sand-castle-making!

Our last few days will be spent exploring the markets, museums, and restaurants of San Salvador before we head back to the states.
Whew! What an adventure!
