Hi everybody!

So we are a week away from the big day and looking forward to seeing all of you in Richmond at lovely Bryan Park!

Richard and I realize that this isn't the usual wedding registry, but we have more kitchen stuff than Crate and Barrel and more stuff in general than Amazon.com (o.k. small exaggeration...very small). We thought this kind of registry might be a little more appropriate.

The best gift you could give us would be a donation to one of our favorite charities - the Foundation to Cure Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (www.psp.org), the American Heart Association (in the US - www.americanheart.org) and the Heart and Stroke Foundation (in Canada - www.heartandstroke.ca). Richard's beloved step-mother, Irene Wells, passed away several years ago after succumbing to complications due to PSP. Lora's dad, Jesse Yowell, suffered a massive stroke almost 7 years ago that has left him severely disabled. Any donations that you give in honor of our loved ones will go toward research to fight and find cures for these devastating diseases.

We also thought a honeymoon registry could be a fun way to have our guests participate in the planning of our honeymoon. Some of our best memories are from trips we've taken together. This time we'll be heading to Destin, Florida to do not much of anything at all except eat, sleep and lounge around on the beach. We are really looking forward to it after the year we've had!

We're going to Destin, Florida & Chicago, Illinois!

We will be spending a little over a week on the Gulf Coast of Florida in the lovely town of Destin. Our resort is beautiful! We will be staying at the Henderson Park Inn right on the beach (check out the beach webcam at http://hendersonparkinn.com/webcam/index.html). Then we'll be heading to our relatively new home of Chicago Illinois for a few days of exploring before we go back to work.
