HEY Y'ALL!

Thank you for visiting our site. We'd like to say first of all that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for,but we are honored to share the beginning of our marriage with you whether you're able to join us in person or not. For those that are able to make it-the time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us are sacrifices that we deeply appreciate you making, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

Since Joe and I have each lived on our own before,we already have most of the "essential" household items that newlyweds need. So,if you'd like to get us something, but aren't sure what would be the perfect gift, please consider sponsoring a portion of our honeymoon. You would be taking part in fulfilling a dream that we have-a dream of starting our union in the beautiful, majestic, natural surroundings of the Pacific Northwest...

We are very excited and eager to take our first adventure as husband and wife, and hope you find this registry as a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! The lifetime of memories we will gain from this trip make this honeymoon registry more significant to us than a traditional registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember your gifts for years to come. The memories from this honeymoon will last a lot longer than a new set of wine glasses (especially at Joe's breakage rate!).

**Whether you're looking to contribute to a specific honeymoon gift or just wanting to give a general amount to our Seattle getaway, please read all the way through the instructions included in the 'How to Give a Gift' tab (to the right).**

While we can't guarantee constant updates during the trip,we'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Thank you again for visiting our site. Joe and I hope that this registry will be a helpful guide. God bless you-hopefully we'll see you soon!

Best wishes and much love,
Amanda & Joseph

We're going to Ashford,WA;Seattle/Bellevue, Wa!

When are we leaving?
Sometime after the wedding...

Why Washington?
When Joe and I decided to spend our honeymoon in a cabin,we were overwhelmed with the choices available to us. Where to go-Tennessee? Virginia? New York? Yellowstone Park? At some point in our exploration of different sites,a friend sent us some pictures of the area she lived in. To say the pictures were stunning would be an understatement! And the mountain at the center of the pictures-simply majestic. When I found out it was Mt. Rainier, and that our friend lived outside of Seattle, well,it didn't take us long to decide THAT was where we wanted to be! :D The beauty of the area was just breathtaking, and we couldn't imagine how much more so it'd be up close...but we are determined to find out!

Where will we be staying?
We're not telling...yet. ;) All we're going to say right now is that half of our honeymoon we'll stay in the cabin, and the other half we'll stay outside of Seattle. We were originally leaning toward a hotel in the city center, but decided we didn't want to pay for amenities that other hotels had for free. So,we settled on a place that was a little further away but nicer overall. If we have as splendid of a time as we're hoping for, then we might share the names of the places we stayed at when we get back, along with a glowing recommendation. The cabin is somewhere around Ashford,WA-not far from one of the entrances to the Mt. Rainier National Park. It's a cozy little place that looks perfect for just two. The hotel is in Bellevue,a little outside of the city. It's close to other attractions, several parks, and just a short drive from the places we'd like to see within Seattle.

What will we be doing?
Wouldn't you like to know! Just kidding. While we're at the cabin,we'll do a little exploring around Mt. Rainier. There's a spa not too far from the cabin, and it would REALLY be nice to relax and be pampered for a while;we'll see. We'd like to visit an Indian reservation if there's one close by. There are lots of little small towns around the park,so we may check them out as well. While we're in Seattle,we'll be hitting the museums and such,to our nerdy hearts' content! (Science Fiction Museum-woohoo!!) Ha ha! We might even spend a little time by or on the water. Who knows, you could be seeing pics of us riding one of the ferries.

When are we coming back?
All too soon...
