WELCOME TO OUR HONEYMOON REGISTRY!!!
Thank you so much for visiting.
We are so excited about our upcoming wedding! It seems to be approaching so quickly! We are looking forward to seeing everybody here in Long Beach this September. It is going to be so wonderful to have all of our family and closest friends together to celebrate with us, as we make our covenant between each other and God. We especially appreciate all of you that live outside of the Southern California area who are planning to attend. We hope you'll enjoy this special day as much as we will!
We are really looking forward to our first adventure as a husband and wife. We both agreed that our "dream honeymoon" would be somewhere warm and tropical with crystal clear water. We just couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our first eight days of marriage than playing in the water and relaxing in a tropical paradise. After considering a couple of places, we decided on St. Lucia in the Caribbean which is just south of Martinque and west of Barbados. This island has secluded beaches, volcanoes, lush rainforest, colorful marine life and a very rich culture! We were sold after much research and studying. We are staying at the Sandals Regency La Toc in an ocean view room right across from the water and we could not be more excited!
When we thought about the idea of a gift registry we both knew that we did not need the normal household items that others tend to register for, like pots and pans or place settings etc. China would probably only collect dust in our home. We got lucky when we came across this site and thought it would be a fun way to get our guests involved with our honeymoon planning. It offers an alternate option to traditional "store" registries. The memories that we will make on this once in a lifetime trip will warm our hearts well into our old age (well Amanda's old age, I will forever be young!). So, here it is ... our honeymoon registry! Take a glimpse of some of the things we will do. Whatever gift you give to us, whether it's a contribution toward the hotel or airfare or just a cocktail to have while soaking up the sun, will really and truly be appreciated and something we will ALWAYS remember and be grateful for. Thank you for your support and helping us have a wedding and honeymoon we will remember forever!
Love,
Jamil & Amanda
We're going to St. Lucia!
What will happen right after the wedding?
We are not wasting anytime with getting our honeymoon started. After the reception we will spend that night at the near by Hotel Maya along with many of our guests. We hope to relax and just enjoy each others company while reflecting on the last 14 months and how much fun it has been to plan our wedding. Sunday will be spent taking "Trash the Dress" pictures all around Long Beach, trying to readjust, then later that night we will fly away into the September sky edging closer and closer to St. Lucia. Before actually reaching St. Lucia we will most likely have a layover in Atlanta, Georgia as that's how most of the flights are listed. After departing from Atlanta we will finally reach St. Lucia Monday afternoon. We will return home to LAX, Monday, October 5th and we can not wait to share our experiences and pictures with everyone!

St. Lucia Island Information
St. Lucia is the sort of island that travelers to the Caribbean dream about--a small, lush tropical gem that is still relatively unknown. One of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, it is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and north/west of Barbados. St. Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, with a shape that is said to resemble either a mango or an avocado (depending on your taste). The Atlantic Ocean kisses its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea.
In natural beauty, St. Lucia seems like an island plucked from the South Pacific and set down in the Caribbean. Its dramatic twin coastal peaks, the Pitons, soar 2,000 feet up from the sea, sheltering magnificent rain forests where wild orchids, giant ferns, and birds of paradise flourish. Brilliantly-plumed tropical birds abound, including endangered species like the indigenous St. Lucia parrot. The rainforest is broken only by verdant fields and orchards of banana, coconut, mango, and papaya trees.
There is a broad array of exciting and exotic activities available on St. Lucia. The island's steep coastlines and lovely reefs offer excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. The rainforest preserves of St. Lucia's mountainous interior are one of the Caribbean's finest locales for hiking and birdwatching. Of course, the island also possesses excellent facilities for golf, tennis, sailing, and a host of other leisure pursuits. Not to be missed is St. Lucia's Soufriere volcano, the world's only drive-in volcanic crater.
What we plan to do?
We plan to do all the tours listed below and experience everything that the island has to offer. Many couples like to spend their honeymoons relaxing, however our goal is to go, go, go! We want to experience what it's like to glide through the rainforrest on a zip line, or the sensation you feel as a powerful horse carries you away through the Atlantic. None of these things would be possible without your support and we fully recognize that and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
