Welcome to our honeymoon registry!
We're so excited for our upcoming wedding in Roanoke, Virginia on August 22, 2009! We look forward to seeing you then, and we're especially grateful to those who are traveling from out of state to join us on our special day. For those who are unable to make it, we will miss you and hope to see you sometime very soon.
When we thought about the whole idea of "registering" we both immediately knew that we already had a lot of the typical household things people normally register for like toaster and blenders. We wanted to come up with something that is meaningful and unique to us.
So, here it is ... our honeymoon registry! We are planning a week's stay at St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Take a glimpse of some of the things we will do. Whatever gift you give to us, whether it's a contribution toward the hotel or airfare or just a cocktail to have while soaking up the sun, will really be truly appreciated and something we will ALWAYS remember and be grateful for.
Thank you for visiting our website and helping us celebrate!
We're going to Saint Thomas - U.S. Virgin Islands!
St. Thomas is home to the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie. It has been the heart of St. Thomas' activities from colonial times to present. Historic buildings found throughout downtown Charlotte Amalie take visitors back to the Danish era when the town was a bustling port of trade; while modern additions of taxis, shops, souvenir vendors and cruise ships in the harbor remind that it is tourism that currently drives the economy.
St. Thomas is largely mountainous. Many roads around the island offer terrific panoramic views of the island and ocean. Amongst the hills on St. Thomas and along the beaches you will find an assortment of accommodations; resorts, historic inns, guest houses, vacation homes, villas and condos.
St. Thomas is a water lover's paradise. Vacation activities include beach days, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, a day charter, kite boarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking and parasailing. On land you can play a round of golf, take an island tour, check out some attractions, take in the historical sites downtown and do some shopping. In the evening you can hit happy hour at a bar or restaurant, catch some live music and have dinner with a sublime view!
