Hello everybody!

We can't wait to see you at our wedding. Spending Labor Day weekend with family and friends, many of whom will travel great distances, is something we've been looking forward to for a long time. We feel so fortunate that so many wonderful people will be there on Sept. 6.

After the wedding, we'll spend 12 days in Croatia and Slovenia on our honeymoon. We thought a honeymoon registry would be a fun way to personalize and share that travel experience with you. To make a gift, click through the travel itinerary below and see what catches your eye.

We'll share photos when we get back! Promise!

XOXOX

We're going to Slovenia and Croatia!

We'll spend 12 days in Croatia and Slovenia on our European trek. The beaches of Croatia will be our first stop, then we'll enjoy time in Slovenia's capital and a few days in the Julian Alps.

Three nights in Rovinj, Croatia, at a little place called Casa Garzotto. Almost as good as three nights in Durham. We'll putter around Rovinj and then head to the hill towns, an area famous for its truffles. Can we rent a dog to sniff 'em out?

Three nights in Ljubljana, the cute-as-a-button capital of Slovenia. It's home to one of the world's unique hostels -- a former prison where the cell bars still serve as the walls to each room. Intriguing? Like, so much. But we'll stay at a B&B.

Hiking up the hill to the Ljubljana Castle at the center of the city will be difficult. We'll need some refreshments on the way up and on the way back.

Eager to impress his bride with his exhaustive knowledge of Slovenian art history, Nate insists on a trip to the National Gallery, home to eight centuries of Slovenian masterpieces.

After Ljubljana, we'll head for the hills for four nights at the Alp Penzion in Bled. You can swim out to the island in the middle of the lake, but they won't let you in the church with your bathing suit on. Dang!

Kremna rezina? Grmada? Prekmurska gibanica? What the ...? They're Bled specialties - desserts. Filled with cream, custard and cheese, we of course plan to eat them every day.

We'll spend at least a half-day driving around the Alps, including negotiating the 48 (!) hairpin turns on the Vrsic Pass. The jalopy will need a fill-up after this trip!

Finally, it's back to the Munich area for the flight home. We'll stay in Erding, a small town outside the city. We'll eat some schnitzel and stay the night there before we leave. Leave. Sigh. Photos to come!
