There are many decisions to make when planning a wedding. Some of these are more difficult or drawn out than others. For Lloyd and Josie, the honeymoon location was the first and quickest decision this engaged couple accomplished!
When we began to set up the traditional registry of household items, we realized that we are off to a good start with the amount of "stuff" we already own, and that you can only register for so many handy kitchen appliances before you run out of counter space. The honeymoon registry is a great way to share our honeymoon plans with our friends and family, and to help pay for what we consider to be the trip of our lives! We will always be grateful to our generous friends and family who helped make it possible!
We're going to Greek Islands, Greece!
Our travels begin only one day after the wedding, traveling with three flight changes: Los Angeles to New York * New York to Athens (11 hour flight!) *Athens to Santorini
Our 14 day honeymoon, will give us 4 days in 3 different locations in Greece: 2 Greek Islands and the main land of Athens.
We look forward to the world famous Greek food, hospitality, beaches, cliffs, history and any other adventures that we come across!
Santorini, Greece
October 21st-October 25th
Our first stop will arrive us in glamorous Santorini, in the southern Aegean's Cyclades islands, which curves round a giant lagoon, a caldera left by a volcanic eruption. The island's capital, Fira, clings to cliffs above, providing stunning views of the lagoon below.
We will be staying at the Villa Renos honeymoon suite, (voted "best romance" and the #1 hotel in Fire on Tripadvisor.com...will see if we give it the same vote!) Each morning will include a homemade Greek breakfast on the our jacuzzi patio overlooking the ocean (pictured left).
Mykonos, Greece
October 25th-October 29th
From Santorini we will take a ferry to another island, Mykonos, One of the Cyclades, a group of Greek islands with beautiful white sandy beaches, rugged mountains and lush valleys,
We are staying at The Rochari Hotel, built in traditional Mykonian-style architecture, is owned and operated by local family. Our suite is complete with two large balconies and we will dine on the terrace above the pool and delight in the home-cooking from thier own kitchen prepared with ingredients grown on the family farm.
Athens, Greece
October 29th-November 2nd
From Mykonos our travels will take us into Athens by plane. We will be renting a one bedroom flat, called the Acropolis Oasis for the remainder of our stay, located within the Historic Park area of Athens known as the "Acropoli" within two and a half blocks of the Dionysus Theater entrance to the Acropolis and slightly less than two city blocks from the new Acropolis Museum.
