We can't begin to tell you how excited we are to see all of you in December! Family and friends are the most important part of our lives and to have you all in one place for this celebration is truly a chance of a lifetime.
Traveling is a shared passion of ours, and we've spent many a night daydreaming about all the places we want to see in our lifetime. In addition, since we are combining households, we have found we already have two of most things – from toasters to coffee makers to sets of pots and pans and silverware. And although we strongly feel that your presence with us at our wedding is gift enough, we chose this registry as an alternative for guests who might want to help provide us with memories that will last a lifetime in lieu of a traditional gift.
Thanks so much for being a part of our lives, and sharing in our big day together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in December!
All our love,
Erin and Aaron
We're going to Bora Bora!
We went through contortions trying to come up with the perfect honeymoon. We wanted it to be somewhere special. We wanted it to be relaxing. We wanted to experience a place together that neither of us had been to before. And we wanted it to be unique -- somewhere we might not think to go, or make it a priority to visit, were it not our honeymoon.
That's a tall order.
We threw around ideas like biking through Italy, or going to see the Tour de France. New Zealand was an option, as was Costa Rica, or a trip to Oxford so Aaron could show Erin his old stomping grounds there and all else the English countryside has to offer. And although each of those excursions sound positively wonderful, they are all trips we will likely get to at some point.
Enter Tahiti.
Aaron started researching warm, exotic locales that have good weather in January. Tahiti -- Bora Bora to be specific -- kept coming up as highly recommended, just not in January. So we kept looking. But eventually, somewhere along the way, we simply fell in love with the idea of a bungalow with glass floors, built over the water. We fell in love with the idea of waking to a sea of electric blue. With Mai Tais and island time, massages, and dinner for two on sugar sand beaches. We fell in love with this place that seems so exotic and is frankly, so hard to get to, that we feared if we don't travel there now, we might never see it for ourselves.
And so, that's where we'll go...just not until April. And by then, after a long, Wisconsin winter, it'll be a trip well worth the wait, and hopefully, the trip of a lifetime.
