We arrive in Bangkok around noon on August 26th. We're staying at The Mandarin Oriental for one night and then we fly off to Ko Phangan on August 27th.

Koh Phangan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand in South East Thailand. It is famous for its full moon party at Haad Rin Beach and as a backpackers destination. Ko Pha Ngan has two sister islands: the larger Ko Samui to the south and the smaller Ko Tao to the north. We will be staying for a week at The Sanctuary, which is nestled on one of three pristine beaches in a remote bay with lush jungles and turquoise waters. It is far away from roads, vehicles and hassles.

On September 2d, we fly to Krabi, a town on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of the Krabi River into the Andaman Sea. Krabi is known for its solitary limestone hills, both on the land and in the sea as islands. It is also located in close proximity to Railay Beach, where rock climbers from all over the world travel to. It is also located close to Koh Phi Phi, which was the set of the movie The Beach.

We depart Krabi on September 7th, head to Bangkok, and fly straight away to San Francisco.
